Prospero City Stories

Prospero City Stories is an unofficial cyberpunk playset for Blades in the Dark. It includes new playbooks, a new crew sheet, and a new setting, to let you quickly run a cyberpunk game or campaign using the core Blades in the Dark ruleset. A copy of Blades in the Dark or the SRD is needed to play.

Prospero is a vast city-satellite, shining in the skies above a ravaged Earth. Haulers from the asteroid mines, shuttles, and pleasure crusiers dock on long piers jutting out into space. In Uptown Prospero, corporate executives walk golden streets and verdant parks. Further down the central highway shaft at the centre of the city, people cling to life in sprawling housing estates and townships, either toiling in the factories and gig economy, or living on the meagre dole and resenting the robots and AI that replaced them. At the very bottom of the city, the trash vents belch out a glittering trail of detritus that draws a sparkling line in  Prospero’s wake.

Create your cyberpunks defined by their relationship to the  city's technology: the AR-tist, the Chemist, the Cyborg, the Gargoyle, the Netjockey, and the Skinsuit.  



The city is unfair, unequal, and unjust. You and your fledgling crew will change that, but to do so you must contend with ruthless corporations, criminal gangs, and the siren song of your own vices.
