Emerald Haven
A downloadable game
Emerald Haven is a tabletop roleplaying game that is Carved from Brindlewood, powered by the Paragon System, and inspired by Disco Elysium.
Players: one GM, and 2-4 players who share the mind of a single detective.
This is a complete playtest version that includes three mystery scenarios.
Welcome to the port of Emerald Haven.
This is a cold city, sitting on a rocky promontory jutting out into the choppy waters of the Nertersee. The damp sea wind acquires the odour of fish as it clatters through the masts of trawlers at the quayside, picks up soot from the smokestacks of cargo haulers and whaling ships, then moans and whispers through the towering steel cranes that line the docks.
It’s a dangerous city, rife with smugglers and organised crime.
But it’s also the most cosmopolitan place on the continent, connected to the whole world by maritime trade and growing migrant communities.
While the workers toil in the warehouses and factories, the bright electric lights of the amusement piers, ballrooms, and winter gardens attract the pleasure-seeking bourgeoisie... and the cutpurses who prey on them.
You are a detective from the Citizen’s Police Department. The underfunded force has scant resources and gets little respect from the people it protects. You have no partner. No backup.
There’s no denying it, you’re only in this job because you’re a cop to your core. But that still leaves the question: what kind of a cop will you be?
